Antique and vintage integration for Prague flats

Heritage building care

Interior integration that does not fight protected fabric.

Light touch fixings

We prefer freestanding screens and furniture over drilling into decorative plaster when avoidable. Restoration priorities are ranked so spending follows structural need first.

Parquet and thresholds

Original floors guide rug sizes and cabinet feet; we do not sand history away for a flat modern plane unless the client and rules allow. Prague ceiling heights and parquet patterns guide scale choices.

Stoves and niches

Historic heating niches become display settings rather than storage dumps for plastic crates. We note when a freestanding solution protects heritage plaster better than fixings.

Window ethics

Treatments clear of original hardware keep future maintenance possible. Mixing eras works best when wall and floor finishes stay calm behind the furniture.

When permits matter

If work touches protected elements, we pause for the client’s architect or authority guidance before specifying alterations. Movers experienced with veneers are preferred for tall cabinets.
